Arrival from 3:00 p.m.

Please allow time for our cleaning crew to prepare the house for your arrival. Your access PIN will not activate before 3:00 p.m., so please plan accordingly.

Luggage Drop‑off

You’re welcome to drop your luggage from 2:00 p.m. Cleaning may still be in progress at this time, and staff may be on site.

You will receive your personal PIN before arrival.

To unlock:

• Wake the keypad by touching it with the back of your hand

• Enter your PIN

• Press the ✔️ tick

• The lock will open

To lock:

• Touch the keypad with the back of your hand

• The lock will engage automatically

Respect for the Environment

Please take care of the house and surrounding bushland. You may encounter kangaroos, bandicoots, echidnas and abundant birdlife. Do not corner, feed, lure, or approach wildlife — human food makes them sick. Drive carefully, especially at dawn and dusk when kangaroos, wallabies and wombats are most active.

Pets

We love pets, but they are not permitted during your stay.

No Smoking

Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the house. You may smoke outside on the terrace.

Noise / Parties / Receptions

Please avoid parties and keep noise to a minimum between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.

Heating & Air‑Conditioning

• In winter, please keep heating to 21°C or below

• In summer, avoid excessive cooling

• Use electric radiators only for winter heating

• Do not use the air‑conditioning system for heating

Cables & Power Points

Please do not unplug cables connected to wall sockets. Additional outlets and a power strip are provided in the living room for your devices.

Bawley Point is known for beaches, wildlife, and relaxed coastal living.

We try to keep our What’s On! page up-to-date on the Sunnyside website.

Our favourites:

• Bawley Beach: A short walk from Sunnyside into the forest.

• Willinga Lake: At the End of Johnston Street there is a carpark. From there you can walk down to the lake and to pristine North Beach which sits adjacent to Meroo National Park.

• Luci’s Cafe: diagonally across the road and up a bit is the best little breakfast and lunch spot in town.

• Bawley Vale Estate: Local wines & events

• Merry Street Restaurant: Great dining

• Willinga Park: Sculpture garden & horse events.

• Ulladulla: Shops, cafés, and supplies (15 mins)

• Kangaroos: You might be lucky to see Kangaroos opposite Sunnyside in the clearings near the forest/beach at dusk and dawn. Otherwise a short drive to Bundle Hill Road will introduce you to a large mob who live permanently there.

• Never leave the fire pit unattended

• Place the steel lid over the fire pit before retiring for the evening

The Fujitsu air‑conditioner is easy to use.

Best advice from the installer: Choose a season — Heat or Cool — and avoid using Auto mode.

The Smeg unit has gas burners and an electric oven.

Important:

If the clock is flashing after a power outage, the oven will not operate.

To fix:

• Press the clock icon until you hear a beep

• Set the time

• The oven will now function normally

The Samsung Frame TV is operated using the TV remote.

Free‑to‑air channels

There are no broadcast free‑to‑air channels in Bawley Point. All major networks can be streamed live via their apps:

• SBS — SBS On Demand

• ABC — ABC iView

• Channel 7 — 7Plus

• Channel 9 — 9Now

• Channel 10 — 10Play

Streaming Services

Apps such as Netflix, Stan, Prime Video and others are available. You may log in with your own account.

Collection: Sunday night Please place bins on the front kerb with the handle facing the house.

Beaches

All beaches in Bawley Point are unpatrolled.

Snakes

We are yet to see a snake on the property. Last year we installed 8 electronic snake repellent stakes in the garden (that’s the faint eeek noise you can hear now and then). If however you DO see a snake, leave it alone. If removal is required, contact our local snake catcher. We will cover the cost of any snake relocation.

Bushfire

To report a fire, dial 000.

Departure is by 11:00 a.m.

Before leaving, please:

• Wash and put away dishes

• Turn off lights, fans, and air‑conditioning

• Close all windows

• Lock the door

• Empty the fridge

• Take rubbish to the correct bins

• Double‑check you haven’t left anything behind
